Where to Canoe The Upper Iowa River, It is canoeable for about 110 miles from Lime Springs to the Mississippi River, which is recognized by National Geographic’s Adventure Magazine. The most scenic section with its 100-200 ft bluffs, sheer cliffs, eagles, mud swallows, and other abundant wildlife, is from Kendallville to Bluffton, and then on to Decorah.
